Aye, it suits you. [Okay. Good. Deep breath. He calms down a bit and grabs a seat next to her on the bed.] It's been good, boring as usual. It's May now, but you didn't miss much. Well, supposedly Valentine's was interesting but I missed that myself. And then the other shift recently wasn't so bad.

[Ace filmed him rolling around in flowers, but like hell he's going to say that.]

How about you? How long was it back in our world? Reach the New World yet?

I see. [She's mildly disappointed that she missed Valentines only because holidays are interesting. She frowns a little at his question.]

Not quite. We were almost at Fishman Island. [And the last time she had been almost at Thriller Bark. It's as if the Malnosso believe in delayed gratification]

I remember hearing of you there, but we've yet to meet. [Which is sad since she really does enjoy his company]

[Wry grin. He already knows from Keimi that Fishman Island falls to Big Mam's protection, but it's one of the few places he really and truly loves enough to have felt at home there.]

Pops and King Neptune were very close friends. It's a beautiful island. I'm sure you'll love it. And you can say hi to Jinbei for me.

And well, you've got me now, eh? Besides, there's a lot to the New World, it might take awhile, but I'm sure you guys will find us eventually.

[She has also heard about Whitebeard's death and feels a pang of sympathy. Losing a captain must be difficult. She can't even begin to imagine...]

[Dokidoki! His eyes widen ever so slightly, to go along with a slight blush, but it turns into a slightly sneaky grin soon enough.]

[Right. He sort of promised himself not to waste chances if he saw her again. Especially when Chun-Li went home. Hell, he's even got her letter in a book somewhere nearby. Except saying that and then following through on it are two different things. After all, she just got back and it's too soon, and well he's got a million excuses all told. Yup Ace is going to laugh at him so much later.]

[She leans just a little bit closer and then moves past him and slides off the bed to explore the room.]

I don't think I've ever been here. Where exactly are we in the village?

[What. She asked.] CH3, Room 40. I like the height of it, eh? Easy to fly to. [He gestures out the window.] And it's got a great view.

[She goes and looks at said view. It's strange that she feels a burst of nostalgia as if she missed this place. The thought unsettles her a little but she shakes it off. After all there are things to miss.]

It is a great view. [She keeps the location in mind for later stalking] What is it you do here anyway, Bird-chan? How do you fill your days?

[Gestures vaguely around at the stacks of books.] This reminds me, I need to return about half of these to the library.

And lately I keep trying to cook new recipes and using various people as taste test victims. Which I'm sure Vivi can attest to.

Although I must admit, I've missed having someone to go flying with. Ace comes along, but discussions with him are of an entirely different nature.

[He also does some exercises too, gotta stay in birdie shape after all.]

[She eyes the books and a brief genuine smile comes to her face as she wanders over to the stacks, looking at the titles. Another brief smile at his mention of experimenting with cooking. Unfortunately her taste buds have become a tad too spoiled to volunteer.]

[She picks up a book called The Princess Bride and flips through it, seeing that it's fiction but not without some merit. She feels a strange sort of sensation at the thought of Firefist-san being alive. And thenit settles somewhat and she says teasingly:]

Is that so? And what nature is that?

[Taps a finger to his chin watching her with some amusement.] Secret between brothers.

Mostly it's more about fire or other things. At the moment we're having an endless prank war.

[A secret is it? Dangerous words, Bird-chan. There is nothing Robin likes more. Although he seems to spoil it right after. Ah well. She flips through the book more. Amused by his words.]

[She's welcome to try to find it, but aside from fire or retarded bro things, it's mostly just a lot of Ace personal stuff and the occasional Ace teasing Marco.]

Ahh... I get him more often, but he got me most recently and I haven't decided my means of revenge yet.

[He raises a hand to greet Robin. And feel free to notice the large burn scar on his chest.] Good to see you again, Robin. Oh, wanna see the prank in question? [Worst. Brother. Ever. He so wins after this.]

[She turns to look at him, mildly surprised. She might frown a little at the burn scar on his chest but it might be hard to notice. However, Firefist-san has something on Bird-chan and her curiosity is piqued.]
