Log 009 [Video/Action]
[On Day One, Robin will open the journal and look faintly bemused... Though she's been waiting for the distraction.]
Well then, this is interesting. There seems to be Alabasta outside my window. [how familiar]
I hear pyramids are often rigged with death traps, curses and murder. [An open invitation to go exploring with her]
Days 1-2
[Either by going into a pyramid or falling through an unseen pit of sand, you will find Robin in the tombs, investigating hieroglyphs, treasures or mutilated mummies.]
Day 3
[Robin will be on anot really tame Mammoth, exploring the chilly countryside and might offer rides to weary passersby or, then again, might ignore them completely]
Days 4-5
[Robin will be relaxing in the Shogunate, you may find her reading under a cherry tree, dressed in the local wear though she does have an eye (or several) open in case of ninja]

[Day 1] / Voice
[Day 1] Voice
[Day 1] Video
[Day 1] Voice
They're just like puppies if you rub their bellies. Provided they don't--
[several more metallic clangs and a soft hiss as if something is passing alarmingly close]
--bite your hand off.
[Under he breath]
The wall is melting. How irritating.
[Louder now]
Where are you?
[Day 1] Video
I was over in that city area with the suits that took over the bar and shops, but I'm flying back towards the Alabasta area now.
[Day 1] Voice
[Her voice echoes]
And dark.
If my torch goes out I'll likely be lost forever.
[She sounds excited by this]
You're flying back so soon? Is it that dull?
[A beat]
Did you bring a suit?
[She hopes so. He look goods in a suit, despite his strange head]
[Day 1] Video
And yes, yes I did grab a suit. Should you really be concerned about that in a time like this?
[He's forever amused by her.]
[Day 1] Voice
Well then. Glowing green must be venomous. It's hard to tell. [The sound of her walking at a reasonable pace] Is there a better time?
[Day 1] Video
Glowing green... what the hell?
Aye, I'd generally assume sometime you aren't dodging metal spears or Magellan wannabe slimes, eh?
[And with that he flies inside a pyramid.] Does this look like the right one to you?
[Day 1] Video
It could be.
[She's teasing now. But she'll hold up the book to a pair of hieroglyphs on the wall that match those above the door and in several other places, always consistent but moving progressively downward as if the legend in some kind of map. This is the most she will give to find his own way]
Not dodging them, no. But they seem to be poisoned so I wouldn't touch them or fly into them. Also I think there may be... There are snakes.
[Day 1] Video
But you're still able to talk and unless I'm much mistaken, seem to be enjoying yourself? [So she's all right, for all his concern.]
How big are the snakes? [Snakes he can handle, yo. He'll curb-stomp them like a secretary-bird. Want some snakeskin boots Robin?]
[Day 1] Video
[And she says this in a low, playful tone]
As for snakes, they are various sizes. Perhaps poisonous? And all in a pit though they seem to be attracted by heat.
[A pause] There is some writing on the floor of the pit. I can just see it.
[You maybe be able to hear in her sentence that she is debating on how much poisoning she wants to risk]
[Day 1] Video
Do me a favor and hold that thought until I get there, eh?
[He switches back to phoenix to fly by the corridor with spears and over into a pit up ahead.]
I can't read this writing, but I think I'm getting close now.
[Day 1] Video
[The granite slab that will soon come to block the door slips another inch, likely on some sort of sand based timing system]
I will. [she kicks a snake away from her foot and grows several hands on the wall to perch on them and be well out of the mess of serpentine death]
Is my brave knight coming to rescue me?
[Day 1] Video --> Action
[He flies into the area and kicks some snakes out of the way, as he looks for an easier means to clear them. The Malnosso said it didn't require killing, so there must be something other than a phoenix threatening to curbstomp them into oblivion to make them scram. He switches back into hybrid -- this time half with wings -- and he crushes a hissing one beneath large claws.]
Let's just say I've come to join in the fun~
[Though he does indeed want to "rescue" her, he's not quite so delusional as to think she needs it, so much as that she's willing to allow his aid for convenience's sake.]
[Day 1] Action
I do want to see your wrath at least. I want to help. [because she is sitting a little above him, she twines her fingers in his hair to pull his head back and drop a soft kiss on his mouth. When she pulls away she notices something on the ceiling. A few chain hands later she hoists herself up to look at it but it's too dim and the torchlight is too certain]
Come sit on my lap, Marcchan.
[He'll be steady enough light]
[Day 1] Action
[...]
[Oh. You're up.]
[Well then....]
As you wish~ [He flits over and grabs a seat in her lap. Boy, you give a girl an inch on this whole "I'm too manly to be threatened by you being far more dominant than me" and she just takes a mile. At least if she's Nico Robin. He's legitimately cool with this though, because well, she's Nico Robin.]
[Day 1] Action
Jumpy? Don't worry. I'm here.
[Though she's teasing but only a little. She settles him in her lap a bit to cast light over the part she needs to read and when she can puzzle it out she murmurs for his benefit]
It's a story. See...here is the lost little child being bitten by snakes...[and the picture is of a small brown skinned figure of indeterminate age with glittering blue tears. Topaz or the like. And spots of tiny rubies for blood.]
And all he can do is dance in place because he is lost... but then...
[and the next picture is the child throwing their head back, mouth open. And next to that the child still standing there, calling out and the snakes standing on their tails. Stiff or maybe hypnotized. It's not a scream. That's too primal but perhaps...]
The child sings and the snakes are mezmerized by that song...and finally...
[But the last picture is scratched out. Robin runs her fingers over it. All she can tell is it has to do with the bottom of that shallow well]
Is a mystery....
[Day 1] Action
Care for a duet? [Flicks his tail back and forth a little before remembering why said tail felt so cramped hahaha.]
[Day 1] Action
You sing, ne?
[His voice is good and she can't compete with it. Besides the fact she doesn't really know anything simple to sing with him]
Sing for me.
[Day 1] Action
[Robin. Robin, please.]
[Marco gets even more jumpy when she grabs his tail and nearly falls off, just stifles it all with a squeaking chirp. He uses that tail for direction sense. You ever grab an animal's tail? Although this is what he gets for flashing it.]
♫ Your love lifted me higher,
Than I've ever been lifted before.
So keep it up, quench my desire,
And I'll be at your side forever more.
[Song is courtesy of Brook and Jackie Wilson.]
[Day 1] Action
Then she moves down the short steps into the well which must have been a pool or a bath of some sort, though the water has long since evaporated and moves the snake away gently with blossomed hands as she peers at the writing on the bottom of the well]
It's a poem, I think. Or some sort of lament.
So that no one gets left behind,
Or lost upon that distant shore
We light the way, make fate unwind.
But we find our lovers...
[She pushes her hair from her face]
Nevermore.
[Day 1] Action
I'm not sure I understand that one. Only one person can go through?
[Day 1] Action
since he's not a chicken but a handbagStill she thinks about the answer for a moment]I think it's a warning. To go back... Light the way could mean that phosphorescent moss. Unwind time... go back the way we came. If we go on it could be certain death. The lovers were never found...
[But there is a wanderlust in her voice. What were they hiding there in the dark]
[Day 1] Action
Oh, is that all?
Let's go on then. I'll keep you safe. And so long as I'm with you, I think we've already found each other, eh?
