[She wakes up in the middle of the forest. It is hard to tell what time of day it is but things seem to be more alive. Everything is moving. It is then she realizes she is somewhat...changed.]

[Well then, this is interesting. She tries to speak, but only comes out with a faint meow. How frustrating. Finding her journal she flips it open with a swipe of a paw, and sees that the writing function has been disabled. Of course it has. But you may, if you are fortunate, see a black cat staring down at you until she flips the book back shut, picks it up in her mouth and trots villagward.]

[Well. Okay then. Ha ha Malnosso, he has no idea what this is about. Demon cats? That's... actually kind of cool, he's not gonna lie (in his head) about it. So he picks up the cat from his head to sit on the table and tries to offer some fish or just tickle it under the chin.]

[Well, now that you mention it... The cat you hold will suddenly open a third eye and then a fourth on its chest. A fifth, a sixth. A cat full of blue eyes staring at you Marcchan, while innocent Bookcat grooms her shoulder]

[Hi there alien/demon/possessed/cat from hell/girlfriend.]

R-Robin? [It's quiet. He doesn't care if he's jumping at shadows, so desperate to have her back that he's even just assuming a cat that is randomly pulling her powers is her. To be fair, said cat won't let him see the book either and that is a very Robin thing to do.]

[Still, he's just going to be a little sad if it isn't. It's been a bad month okay.]

[she can't smile. How very strange. How very annoying. But there is a reason she likes you after all. The cat you are holding will burst into a shower of...black petals? Interesting. And she will stare at you once more, waiting for you to come over]

[Practically pounces in a hug and just scoops her up into his arms and spins her around in a circle, laughing a little.]

ROBIN! YOU'RE BACK!!!

[Pets her head between her ears not even caring if he gets scratched to ribbons. Just too happy and spinning a little more.] It has been a crazy month. I got your crane and she was very pretty, thank you. [Kisses Robin's kitty head!] Are you okay? Aside from being a cat? Not a lot of pain or injuries I should beware of, right? Are you okay?? I'm sorry it was so rough there... [Just... hugs. Roooobin ;;]

[He's making her dizzy and the enthusiasm startles her. She's not used to being pulled up so high so fast, at least not of her own volition so her ears are going back and her claws will certainly dig into your arms just to get you to stop.]

[Okay that was less than brilliant on his part. No more spinning, but he makes sure not to drop her too, though there are definitely some soft blue flames flickering over those claw marks.]

Sorry. You know this shirt is practically irreplaceable, right? [VERY slowly goes back to sit down -- though he carefully bends over to grab her journal first.] Are you okay? Cat and motion sickness aside I mean.

Mrrrrr. [It's the only sound she can make and you're just going to have to wait a moment until her tail finishes lashing and she licks some bristled fur back in place. The fact that she feels mildly guilty about the shirt is what saves you and she'll move to sit beside you as a gesture of forgiveness and wash her ears.]

[Relaxes a little as Robin does, and he reaches out a hand questioningly to wait for permission in order to pet her ears, though he'll almost certainly move to pet under her chin even if he gets permission.]

I'll take that as a yes. Are you hungry? Want water?

Mrow. [a small sigh. What was feline for, I don't need anything except not being a cat any more and this is irritating not being able to communicate and I'm sorry, ne? All she can do is shake her head. Then, after a moment, bumps her head against his arm.]

[Tugs her very slightly into a quick one-armed hug and pets her head and chin happily, bending down to nuzzle a little affectionately anyway.]

I'm just glad you're back and no broken bones. Sorry you're a cat. But if it makes you feel better, you're a very gorgeous kitty. [Small joking grin, but he really is glad to have her back.]

[Of course she is. But if only she could speak. If only Chopper were here but he isn't. So she will just have to be resourceful... Ah! She bumps her head under his chin and then squirms out of his grip to hop lightly to the ground and carefully trace out in the dirt]

Was I gone long?

[Small nod.] A month. It's the day before Halloween, eh.

Do you want to borrow a book and pen for around the village?

[A month? It had felt like less than that. It had felt like more. So much can happen in a month and she wonders if her crew are still there. She wants to ask but he distracts her with the question. She is about to nod but then looks at her paw. She is not sure she'll be able to manipulate a pen, however, she unsheathes one claw experimentally]

[Holds up a finger and dives into a little small messenger bag ~~he is so straight you don't even know~~ and pulls out a bottle of ink.] I might need to get a better saucer for it or something eh.

[Actually, Marco was going to tell her about the crew before, because well, he knows her. He knows himself. The first thing that is a priority upon returning? Nakama. Always.]

Brook from your crew is here now, I don't know if you saw that before you were taken. Zoro... [What is supposed to say? They were on a draft and Zoro died?] Zoro, Nami, Ace, Sanji, and Vivi were on a draft. Luffy's around, Nami is at her grove and was this morning when I was checking on your lavender garden. Ace is back too.

[She is mildly amused that he has ink with him though that quickly fades when she realizes she will have to carry around a saucer as well. Ink and saucer and paper. She supposes she can manage but it will not be particularly easy.

And then the hesitation with Zoro. Her heart sinks]

Zoro?

I wasn't there, but Ace said he died. I know that means, he'll come back here before you know it, but still... sorry Robin.

Anything I can do? Want to go see Nami?

Ace already broke the news to Luffy. And also about Moro. Sanji and Vivi are still fighting I think.

[Dead. Of course she suspected as much and even as she knows he'll be back, fur tightens along her back until she is almost bristling. But... perhaps it can't be helped. She shakes her head at his offer. She'll go see her in her own time and alone would be best.

She dips her head and tucks her tail around her feet again. Return or no return, he will have suffered and pain is pain whether or not you choose to acknowledge it.]

Any mind-scarring trauma the Malnosso tried to induce outside of this?

[It is too difficult to explain really and some things are best left hidden. Marco doesn't need to know everything and he already does know that no time with the Malnosso is ever pleasant. She jumps to his leg, but then to his shoulder where she can make her own peace by grooming his hair. It is just the kind of affection he'll have to live with for a while]

[Blinks at first and then just laughs and hugs her back, happily petting gently down her spine.]

I missed you too, love.

It's been a pretty terrible month for everyone, seems like. [Tickles gently under her chin.] But being together makes it a little better, eh?

[She is fortunate that cats don't have expressions as such. She likes the feel of his hand and his voice vibrating through her paws. He sounds so much different. So much more nuanced. And it is a little better, but only a little, since this is certainly disappointing. As it is she can barely communicate, let alone fulfill the role in any kind of relationship.

And what if they keep her this way for months? Or years? It is unusual, but possible. The Malnosso are not exactly known for their compassion. She knows she will bear with it because she is a Mugiwara. But bearing with it does not mean that things won't change. As it is, she purrs lightly, and nips the top of his ear in light affection]

[Flushes a little and grins happily, petting and nuzzling Robin more. She can worry all she wants about being trapped like this, because as far as Marco's concerned, she's back and that is more than enough to make him happy. Well that, and she's being affectionate and -- oh his gosh purring HOW CUTE! -- really, he is actually pretty happy just to say hello to her again. Well, Marco's easy to please at least. Any sign of affection and he's practically yours for life.]

I have to show you the origami pineapples Sabo made me too for my birthday. I scared the hell out of him about it, but that was half of the fun. [Nuzzles!]

[Scared the hell out of him? She cocks her head and wants to ask but of course it comes out as a tiny meow. She thinks for a bit, then traces a question mark on his cheek lightly with a claw, wondering if he will be sensitive enough to guess it]
