[She wakes up in the middle of the forest. It is hard to tell what time of day it is but things seem to be more alive. Everything is moving. It is then she realizes she is somewhat...changed.]



[Well then, this is interesting. She tries to speak, but only comes out with a faint meow. How frustrating. Finding her journal she flips it open with a swipe of a paw, and sees that the writing function has been disabled. Of course it has. But you may, if you are fortunate, see a black cat staring down at you until she flips the book back shut, picks it up in her mouth and trots villagward.]

He's your captain and Ace and Sabo's little brother. [Gently scritches behind her ears, holding back another grin he wouldn't be able to explain. Luckily he is deadpan-man, with the power of 1000 deadpan faces.]

Ace doesn't get it either. He says Sanji's the only one I should worry about. But ahhh... I guess introducing you to Pops would be really easy, eh? And same with my other brothers if they ever showed up. Sanji just reminds me a little of Thatch so he's more like nakama, so I think of it like that. Like if I introduced you to Jozu or the others. Or Haruta and Izou anyway.

[Luffy... how does he explain it?] I know Luffy's not really like your Pops, at all. [Rubs his own chin in thought.] But he's your captain. He's like your kid almost. It's weird, eh? I want to know him in his own right, not as Ace's little brother, or Sabo's brother, or Shanks' bet on the future, or even the man who'll be the future king. Just Luffy. The kid who thinks seastone would still make a good grill to cook with.

[He goes back to petting her ears, trying hard to put it to words, or even just thought.] I guess I want him to be okay with me dating you, without having to trust yours, Sabo, and Ace's opinion of me. I mean, aye, I know him well enough to say no one's going to make up Luffy's mind for him. But that's almost part of the worry. Even if he didn't think I was good enough for you -- which he'd be right about -- [Taps her nose with the feather.] with all the other things, it's like nothing can be done about it, eh. Like if I'm not good enough to be Ace's nakama? Well okay, but he just has to trust Ace anyway. Same with Sabo as his brother. But I don't want him to just trust your view of me... again. [Just buries his head in a hand. Yeah. He knows this is stupid.]

[She's not entirely following. Or perhaps she doesn't understand. Why not just have Luffy trust her view of him? What other view matters? As for Luffy being her child...what a strange thought. He is more Nami's than hers. She is rather like an indulgent aunt (like the one she used to wish for) who enjoys the play and leaves the mess to others.

But if it is important to Marco... She leans forward and bumps her head against his hand, purring. She realizes absently that she is marking him with the edge of her mouth but does't mind. Let others know who might try to steal her prey. Then she jumps onto his lap and, using his chest to balance, stretches her neck up to lap the bottom of his chin.]

[Laughs and happily pets her head, bending down to give a quick kiss.]

Aye, you're right. You always know what to say. [Pet pet pets! He sounds like he's deadpan joking; of course (he always does) but the truth is pretty obvious that he does feel better because of what she did. Words or not, her message that he's being ridiculous and shouldn't worry got through.] I'll try not to be nervous, eh. No promises, but so long as I'm with you I'm sure I can handle anything.

[She can't help but purr as he pets her. His fingers are starting to feel familiar against the fur and she loves the sound of his relieved voice. Deadpan or not she is able to tell. She nips his chin affectionately. She would stay with him. Keep him company. But...there are others she must see. Those more important than anything.

After another whiskery kiss. Robin leaps onto the table and picks up her journal.]

[Small wry grin. Nakama calls.]

Robin, come see me when you have time, eh? I missed you. We can just sit and read if you'd like.

[She puts down the journal and dips a claw in the ink to draw a rudimentary form of their jolly roger. Simplistic but a promise. Then she picks up the book between her teeth, hops delicately off the table and heads home]

[Smirks to himself, definitely a lot more contented now and makes a promise to himself to go check on Nami and help with the milkan again especially now that he's in such a better mood.]
