Log 17 [video]
[Robin looks quite serene today, though those who have known her will notice a certain glint in her eye that spells trouble. It is high time she gets one certain thing straight in her life]
Hello, Luceti, and new feathers. Welcome to our little town where you will both make wonderful friendships and suffer traumatically for making them. However, that's life, ne? It will all work out in the end. [after we break them in half like twigs]
Speaking of trauma, however, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to kidnap a certain longnosed sniper, who is fond of elaborate stories but not so much of mushrooms. I was thinking a baited trap of some sort and briefly considered an arrow to the knee but that may be going a bit far. I do want to keep him around, after all.
[in other words, Usopp... 1, 2... Robin's coming for you. There is nowhere to run.]

I will be there momentarily.
[With a final nod, the Vulcan cuts the communication and heads out the door. He doesn't want to think too much about this, but he can't help it. The only comfort he has right now is that he has already spoken to Marco about this... and thankfully there doesn't seem to be any hard feelings there.
But... Robin is a different issue entirely. She was there.
Spock knocks.]
[Action]
Glad you could make it. Come in.
Re: [Action]
Thank you.
Robin... I am sorry.
[May as well go right for the jugular.]
[Action]
Unless of course you were cheating on me but then I would have to kill you.
[though it's a joke-- to lighten the mood]
Re: [Action]
I would not.
[Oh... right... joke. But he still wouldn't have...]
Malnosso interference or not, this cannot be ignored. I wish for you to tell me what it is I must do to make this better.
[Because this whole thing? Spock doesn't understand it. He was in love with Robin, had a family with her... and he enjoyed it. He felt fulfilled in protecting his family. And now it was gone.
He didn't feel any romantic inclinations towards Robin... but he enjoyed belonging... almost to a point of being covetous.]
[Action]
[she tilts her head. It's difficult to understand what he's thinking. At one time she thought she knew--but who can say if she was right? She remembers her time with him, certainly. And feeling a certain way and while affection lingers...in reality there is too much to keep her from ever stepping over that breach. Marco being the chiefest reason.]
What do you mean?
Re: [Action]
[Yup, the Vulcan is trying too hard.]
However, I believe Marco laughed at me when I suggested such a thing.
[Action]
[anyway, awkward though it may be, the only thing that would change that is closeness]
After all, who knows? You've been my child and you've been my husband. Perhaps tomorrow will bring something interesting.
Re: [Action]
You are a very gracious being Robin. I... consider you a close friend. It would be quite disagreeable to have lost that.
[Action]
Re: [Action]
There is no convincing you to use another name for me, is there.
[Not really a question.]
[Action]
[she raises her eyebrows and gives him a completely innocent expression]
Re: [Action]
[Have a small hint of a smile in return.]
[Action]
[since it's the same thing, only with a connotation of a certain introspection and quick intelligence. And then...because there are a few other things on her mind]
Have you met any of the new feathers?
Re: [Action]
[Sassy gay friend? Why bother having one if you can't gossip?]
[Action]
[rumors were always fascinating and told more of the state of mind of the people than any kind of official report]
Re: [Action]
[Marco and Spock are worse than a pair of old ladies.]
[Action]
[there is no question to that fact]
Re: [Action]
[Action]
Trouble me how?
Re: [Action]
[There, logical.]
[Action]
But forgetting my nakama a moment, have you met many other new feathers?
Re: [Action]
I will have you know that I have not been hiding... merely occupied.
[Which, for a Vulcan was the same as hiding. There was no way that he was going to tell anyone that he was getting depressed. Nope. Not happening.]
no subject
[she's more inclined to believe your captain, even though she doesn't know him.]
no subject
[Hmm... Spock's losing his touch here.
Though he should introduce you two, he's certain you'd get along like a house on fire, literally.]
