So I gathered. [She tries to grow a pair of hands to strip him of his shirt but even that much makes her faintly dizzy and she sighs, taking off his shirt with her main hands.]

[Blinks at the tenderness and he can't hide the fond happy grin. It's weird and damned nice to have someone looking after him again for a change. And it's been awhile for that really. Still, he doesn't change out of the calm monotone.]

He wasn't as badly beat up as Ace I think. Just... shook up too. I sent them to go find a doctor, and if I'm actually lucky for once, they'll have listened. [They didn't, but Marco will be calling one soon to check on them anyway.] And for all Ace seems to think Sabo's a little fragile in comparison, Sabo's a pretty tough kid, eh? He's been through worse.

[Fumbles with the sandals and actually hisses at removing one of the straps that seems to have nearly fused with a cut, yup, he definitely overdid it on killing those bastards. Oh well. But other than that, he's just relieved to get it clean.]

You overdid it. [A statement of fact. She's used to this, though.]

Are they all dead? [Is there anyone Luffy will want to go after, in other words. She wonders if he'd want to in any case but if he does, she wants to know]

Oh yes. [That gets him out of the deadpan, and into a much harder, dangerous, tone.]

They were from our world so they cannot possibly claim not to know the consequences of picking a fight with the Whitebeard crew. [You mess with one, you mess with all. And they will hunt down anyone who dares. He'll yell it at the World Government, the Malnosso or anyone he has to and beat it into skulls.]

They're from Kin'Coran. No one I've met before. Just another dumbass with a grudge against Pops' family who figures we're the fastest way to the top. [And that is a lot more weary sounding. Something he literally wouldn't let show around anyone but Robin. Still he cleans up in the shower, and runs an open mouth under the flow to get the metallic blood taste out of his mouth. Split lip probably. Lovely.]

If the Malnosso bring them back they better stay out of my way or only do it in a new place.

Actually... They resented Roger. [Leans against the shower wall.] Ace is so... [Stupid? What does it matter if he has Roger's blood? Marco will never get it. Even now he doesn't fucking get it. He can't, and he's trying.] Shit, I hate all of them. [Shakes his head out and back to under the water.]

[She turns off the water in the sink. She doesn't quite understand why it matters. He's a pirate, too, so why not want to follow in Roger's footsteps and be proud? But being hated for who you are is something she understands and perhaps that resentment has to go somewhere.]

Seeing as that's the excuse the government killed him for? Yeah. He's still an idiot for believing anyone else's stupidity matters.

From what I've heard, from what I know, you've lived a long time with Whitebeard. You may have been lonely, Marcchan, but it's different when you're hated for who you are. For what you are. For what you know. Or, to put it another way, Whitebeard is your pride and if someone were to insult him on the deepest level, you would find a hard time to keep your temper. For Firefist-san, I believe his strength is his pride. His independence. Seperation from that which he can't control but is hated for anyway.

Very well. I won't be gone long... though your clothes are wet now. Shall I bring up some of Chopper's? They stretch so they should fit.

[He pops his head out at the end of that. Damn, she's perfect. Funny, beautiful, smart, and a hell of a lot smarter than him.]

[She touches his cheek briefly before disappearing. She's not gone long but when she returns she has a roll of bandages, Chopper's clothes and what she needs to take the blood out of the clothes. It's annoying to have her arms so full--especially now that other limbs are so unstable. She sets clothes and bandages on the toilet lid and pours the mixture for the clothes into the sink. I]

I hope the power cap is lifted soon. It's irritating to be so single bodied.

[She begins to scrub the clothes between her hands, wincing slightly at the acidity]

[Honestly though, he's a little giddy, all told. And jumps into the clothes...]

Are these bike shorts? [Looking himself over before shaking his head out of that thought pattern and he gently sneaks up behind Robin to take her hands out of the water, so he can do it himself... despite the cuts to his hands. Whatever, he'd rather take the pain than let anyone else do so for him. That's pretty much his thing.]

[WOW. Fail. Again with the saying more than he means to.] And aye. Not being able to fly is extremely annoying, especially as this is the second time this month, eh?

[Leans his cheek briefly against hers, but gives her plenty of room to slip away, though he should really start working on that cut near his ankle. Meh. Priorities.]

No. It's mine. [she accepts the affection but elbows him lightly in the gut. She'll get mean if she has to.]

I don't know what they are but you look ridiculous in them. [Though she feels affectionate even if she sounds harsh]

[Laughs at that. All of it. Maybe he is a masochist, but it's mostly for her.]

[Actually the elbow (though light) still hurt far more than he's used to. So bending down to tie up his ankle at least gives him an excuse to hide his literal gut reaction.]

Mah, good thing I'm pretty stocked up on pants at home, eh. I've heard there's even starting to be a clothing shortage.

[She flicks the mixture from her hands and rinses them off and then takes a towel to dry them, and then, absently, another towel to dry his hair. Not that it really needs too much]

I wonder if all this is a controlled experiment or if they are slipping.

[Rubs the back of his neck and then actually chuckles at the towel on his head. Aw, best girlfriend.]

Your clothes will be done in the morning. I won't be here but I'll leave them by the window for you.

Ah... nothing. Just over thinking something I suppose. [Oh, be still his heart, he's just going to melt into that kiss a bit, before trying to get the words and everything else to make sense in his brain again.]

Ah thank you... [Still, a slightly puzzled frown.] Where will you be going?

To the library. Elsewhere. There are some things I want to look into. [She tugs on his hair]

I'd say watch yourself, but I'm sure you can handle even these extra idiots. And if not, you know how to call me. [Gets back up now that his ankle is all good and tests the weight as he leans in to steal a quick kiss to her cheek.] You really are the best, eh?

[And she'll slip her arms around his neck and pull him in for another kiss. Lingering a bit and then letting go]

Absolutely. I will, eh? [He didn't even notice she did that "eh" too for a bit there. He's just too damn giddy about affection and everything else.]

And I'll check in with you later once I'm sure they're safe.

[Nods.] Sure thing. Ah, I might help Sanji out at the restaurant, so I'll probably be easy to find.
