Log 11 [Voice]

My world has a hidden history. For the span of 100 years, the slate is blank. There is nothing official written. There is nothing official allowed to exist. At least, not that I know of. Instead, there are poneglyphs. Ancient writings which tell the history of my world. The true history. That is supposed to be kept hidden. The government will do anything to make sure that these poneglyphs are never discovered let alone understood.

Some know too much already, but will do anything to learn more, uncover the entire secret even by risking death. Though not entirely alone now, ne? [and she will become quiet a moment]

Next month it will have been a year here. Time has stopped, of course, but I wonder if I will remember the shape of the letters and the sounds they make or if it will fall into the void.


Forgetting is too easy sometimes, isn't it?

To those who know me, I may be absent for a few days. But don't worry, I'll return.

Some things are never forgotten.

[A little while later there will be this message filtered to Sanji]

Sanji-chan. I know you probably wouldn't but if you hurt Marco you're going to have to deal with me. [and she smiles]

Oh... No thank you. I don't...I'll be happy to attend any party you throw, Pony-chan, but I would rather not be the center of one.

It doesn't have to be a big one! But, it's okay if you don't want one, either.

Mm. No, thank you. I'm fine. [She smiles] But we can do something just the two of us, ne? A private celebration. [she chuckles] We can even have balloons if you like.

But I've no doubt if you succeed, many more will follow. That's how it was with Roger and my Pops, eh?

[Killing? No. At most she might have frowned at you sadly, which would do more than any spinal realignment she can conjure]

What do you think? Do you approve?

Approve? [That's a... hard word to manage around. Sanji doesn't quite frown, but he turns his gaze away to think for a bit]

I'm never gonna think anyone is good enough for Robin-chan's approval. [That, he thinks, is pretty damn clear. And if he had never experienced a life in Luceti, there'd be a lot more hissing on his end]

... But Marco's not a bad guy, either. [He rubs the top of his head] And as long as you're happy, that's all I care about.

[If anyone else had said that, she would have brushed it aside as just words, but she can't help be warmed by Sanji's sincerity. As for happy... Well...she already is in as much as she can be. She's not even entirely sure how she feels about--all of this, other than it might be...fun perhaps]

He's not in the least... But happiness is a strange word here, ne? I wonder what he expects exactly...

[She glances back at Sanji]

Not that I...disapprove myself or anything of that nature... It's just a strange feeling. I never thought I'd be granted with the opportunity, so it's a little unbalancing. [She smiles faintly when she says this]

What he expects... [Sanji pauses with a thoughtful expression. Maybe he just happens to think in the same language as Marco sometimes, but it makes sense to him. It's a promise, however unlikely that it will bloom into fruition outside of Luceti and... well, the hope of it is enough to grant it life.

But before he can make any of his thoughts known, he turns back to the journal abruptly]

--Oh, does this all mean Robin-chan's accepted then?

He hasn't asked yet, not in so many words. And I can't help but wonder if he'll continue with his horrendous sense of timing. [sometimes...she swears that man can't even think a second ahead]

Regardless, I have. [she rests her chin on interlaced fingers] Though there might be negotiating.
