Log 009 [Video/Action]
[On Day One, Robin will open the journal and look faintly bemused... Though she's been waiting for the distraction.]
Well then, this is interesting. There seems to be Alabasta outside my window. [how familiar]
I hear pyramids are often rigged with death traps, curses and murder. [An open invitation to go exploring with her]
Days 1-2
[Either by going into a pyramid or falling through an unseen pit of sand, you will find Robin in the tombs, investigating hieroglyphs, treasures or mutilated mummies.]
Day 3
[Robin will be on anot really tame Mammoth, exploring the chilly countryside and might offer rides to weary passersby or, then again, might ignore them completely]
Days 4-5
[Robin will be relaxing in the Shogunate, you may find her reading under a cherry tree, dressed in the local wear though she does have an eye (or several) open in case of ninja]

Day 4, Shogunate.
As for the whys? Because the masters of Death can be bargained with. And because this place is unnatural. It breaks the very fabric of reality. That alone is reason enough.
[And, she adds mentally, because they are my kindred]
Day 4, Shogunate.
Though who knows if the price is beyond paying. As for this being unnatural...
[she runs her hands through the grass]
I don't believe such a thing can exist.
Day 4, Shogunate.
[Saori reaches up and fingers a small, mirrored locket on her throat. She knew what price he'd ask already.]
You don't? And why is that?
Day 4, Shogunate.
If it exists, it's natural. If it doesn't. [she shrugs]
Day 4, Shogunate.
But I doubt we'll agree on that. I mean you no slight, and I do understand your meaning. I just feel our definitions of what is and isn't differ greatly.
Day 4, Shogunate.
I think everyone's definition is a little different. [She smiles faintly] What is reality but the illusion of the senses?
Day 4, Shogunate.
[Saori returns that ghostly smile]
How do you see your world? And how do you see this one?
Day 4, Shogunate.
[And she misses it like she never thought she ever would. All that blue sea and adventure and nakama]
This world is a prison.
Day 4, Shogunate.
An illusion to the senses, truly. The way people perceive the worlds around them. I think some might give the same answer as you, but not all. But you have the truth of it.
I see this world as opportunity. And my home as responsibility.
Day 4, Shogunate.
[She looks away. If he left...and were to have memories of all he'd left behind... There would be no way to heal that. No way to heal him now. Luceti is like a wound that will never completely close.
She glances at Saori again]
Aren't opportunity and responsibility intertwined?
Day 4, Shogunate.
They can be. But not always. Though here? I have considerably less responsibility. And considerably more opportunity in some ways.
Day 4, Shogunate.
[Perhaps, too, she doesn't have family to be torn apart-- to watch them suffer. But it is not in Robin to ask]
Day 4, Shogunate.
[She'd probably lose her temper and do something they'd both regret if Robin dared ask something so inappropriate and insensitive.]
What they do to me and mine is enraging, but what can I do but try to mitigate the damage? The Malnosso will pay for their crimes in due course. With...as they say...interest. But for now I see no sense in allowing my wits to be overcome with anger.
Day 4, Shogunate.
And opportunity for what?
For Luffy and Marco and Ace... To hang on just a little longer to those who they've lost. But Ace doesn't even seem happy here. She sighs]
I wish the same was true for others.
Day 4, Shogunate.
I understand that. Not everyone can play the long game, but I can. And will.
Day 4, Shogunate.
[Though can she succeed? Robin is not entirely convinced. Then again, she's been surprised before.]
I will help if I can...
[though the thought of being here years...]
Day 4, Shogunate.
[Convinced or no, she likes you Robin]
Of course, you seem a reasonable and intelligent woman. I'm glad to have run into you.
Day 4, Shogunate.
[She is always glad to run into interesting people. Even when she is not sure about them in the end.]
Perhaps we should run into one another more often. I am mostly in the library. [But it would be nice to get out and talk to others more]
Day 4, Shogunate.
Actually, my friend Belle and I were going to restart the book club, if you'd be interested in participating.
Day 4, Shogunate.
[She's not much one for fiction but perhaps if they're interesting...]
Day 4, Shogunate.
Day 4, Shogunate.
[Though she's not entirely sure if she would enjoy that sort of thing. It couldn't hurt to at least try]
Though acting is not exactly my forte. [At least not in that kind of way.]
Day 4, Shogunate.
Day 4, Shogunate.
Day 4, Shogunate.
When Belle and I get it organized, I will make sure to contact you.
