Log 007 [video/Action]
[The video appears on Robin, looking up at her as she is sitting on her windowsill, despite the chill in the air. The wind stirs in her hair before she speaks]
Living here is hard on everyone it seems. People are changed. People flow in, go home, die and are restored. The Malnosso have us forget one another, betray one another, even forget ourselves and yet we live on broken in our own way.
[She glances down at the journal]
But we are all united here. Wether or not we wish to go home or we call this our home. Whether we love or hate it. We all exist for the same reason. For our friends. To find something better. But whether dark or light, living in silence or in grief only divides us. [She remembers broken nakama too much. It is almost too hard to bear sometimes because there is no reason to be]
There should be a place to talk about this. The fears, the joys, the grief...who we miss. Who we are glad have gone. A place without judgement or worrying whether or not you will cause concern. In order to live. In order to survive we must understand one another and we must not be afraid of the truth--whatever that might be.
[She will stare at the journal more as if contemplating what to say, then kills the feed. Then she leaves the window to make her rounds about town and will ultimately end up in the library. She may seem a bit preoccupied but feel free to approach her, and never mind the cat tail, that will be gone soon enough]

[action]
How interesting]
There is a story like that, yes. But where is the fun if you know the ending?
[She flips another page]
Do you know the one of Thor in a dress?
[She imagines he would--if he is who he seems to hint that he is. Or if he is just playing at it, it seems like the sort of tale a
trolltrickster would know about][action]
[He leans forward, interested. He knows of the story and it is a very amusing one. After all, his brother in a dress would be hilarious. Midgardians have been so creative with some myths.
That, and he is unable to remember if they have actually happened in the past.]
Oh not at all, but do tell. I bet Loki is the shining star of this story.
[action]
[There is a kind of pathos involved when a character does what he wants and ends up paying for it in the en. Or perhaps it's more tragic? If he is a god of something, can he help his own nature? If he can't, should he be punished for it?
At any rate she tells the story. Though she is not the best story teller she never the less attmepts to make everyone sound distinct and match the emotions of the text]
[action]
[He listens closely, amused with the way she makes voices and tells the story and actually, yes. This is one of his favorites because for once, Loki is not a bad guy here. He helped Thor getting Mjolnir back. That is an act out of goodness.
And when she is finished he claps, smiling broadly.]
See? Loki is not just evil. Even though that is what everyone thinks at the moment they hear that name.
Would you think he is evil?
[action]
No one is born evil and people can often be driven to do evil things out of desperation, hurt, survival. And often those who are at odds most with society are demonized because people can't or won't understand them.
But is Loki evil?
[she smiles]
You tell me.
[action]
After all, Loki is the trickster god and most mischievous. Wouldn't his tricks make people dislike him very much? Even though he cannot always help approaching situations and people like that? And Loki is just genuinely a very nice guy, and most handsome too. But all others see is the bad things he does?
[action]
[She smiles a little]
I'm sure one day you'll find friends who won't mind, ne?
[action]
[Loki taps his chin.]
Allow me to describe this using a perfect example. What if Loki wishes to obtain a present during the season of Yule? And they give him the fist of Yule instead? And even though his peers have bestowed Loki with a great sentiment, it still leaves a bruise. No one wants to be covered in bruises during Yule.
[A small, sly smile.]
He might, yes. Because he tries, you see?
[action]
[As for the rest of it, she shrugs lightly]
I'm not entirely sure what kind of answer you're looking for. I agree that Loki tries but I also agree that people do not always understand him. But there is always more to a story than simply one side.
[action]
[He nods and smiles.]
If I had to grade your answer I would give it an 8 out of 10. That is a very high grade and you should treasure that, maiden.
Loki can be rather complicated, you see?
[action]
[She returns the smile but she can't quite understand this boy. She keeps having the feeling that there's a joke she's not quite getting]
Tell me about you.
[action]
[Loki knows very well that he is fooling around a bit, but he nods at her request.]
What do you wish to know?
[action]
[She is a bit of a collector of stories and personalities]
You seem as if you'd have a lot to tell, Loki-chan.
[action]
[Even though Loki really isn't going to share much personal information. He does know a lot of stories, and all those stories contain a lesson that one could learn.]
Well. Sit back as I dazzle you with stories of wonder and similar descriptions. Where princes and princesses fall in love forever, dashing off towards the sunset on a great, white horse. And they will kiss eachother and they will even involve the tongues when doing so.
Vampires will sparkle as well. And Werewolves are actually half naked men who live inside a forest. And they all crave the love of the same maiden.
[As Robin might notice, Loki's story is not making much sense.]
[action]
Is there anything true?
[action]
And the rest is also the truth because when humans are in love...
[He forms a heart with his fingers.]
...they use tongues to kiss.
Words cannot be more true, maiden.
[action]
But I'm not particularly interested in fictional representations of love. [It's often idealized and given too much importance. There is more strength in a bond of friends and crew.]
[action]
[Frankly, he wonders how that feels. Kissing with tongues. Wouldn't that be utterly gross?
Loki blinks at her last remark.]
Oh? May I ask what your representation of love is?
[action]
It is largely just a matter of perception. What is love to one may not be to another. But I believe a big part of it is trust and respect.
[though trust, for her, is the hardest. How strange, then, that it came so fast]
And what about you? What is your representation?
[action]
Trust is always important. When there is no trust there are only lies. And love cannot be based on lies, right?
[Loki frowns for a moment while he is being very convincing talking out of his arse. Honestly, he has no idea. Love could be many things...and it could be nothing at the same time.]
Mine? Ah. I think it overlaps with your definition. Trust, respect, similar sentiments.
