[The video appears on Robin, looking up at her as she is sitting on her windowsill, despite the chill in the air. The wind stirs in her hair before she speaks]

Living here is hard on everyone it seems. People are changed. People flow in, go home, die and are restored. The Malnosso have us forget one another, betray one another, even forget ourselves and yet we live on broken in our own way.

[She glances down at the journal]

But we are all united here. Wether or not we wish to go home or we call this our home. Whether we love or hate it. We all exist for the same reason. For our friends. To find something better. But whether dark or light, living in silence or in grief only divides us. [She remembers broken nakama too much. It is almost too hard to bear sometimes because there is no reason to be]

There should be a place to talk about this. The fears, the joys, the grief...who we miss. Who we are glad have gone. A place without judgement or worrying whether or not you will cause concern. In order to live. In order to survive we must understand one another and we must not be afraid of the truth--whatever that might be.

[She will stare at the journal more as if contemplating what to say, then kills the feed. Then she leaves the window to make her rounds about town and will ultimately end up in the library. She may seem a bit preoccupied but feel free to approach her, and never mind the cat tail, that will be gone soon enough]

That seems a very extensive list of things to do. May I have an example?

Come on, you have to have seen things we've done if you have eyes. Tanabata celebrations every year, two lake parties, a raffle, a casino right, two pageants, a play, consulting for our clients, you name it!

That sounds exhausting. [Though helpful, she will admit.] Is there any time to talk or do you just plan and coordinate events?

Of course there's time to talk. Time is something people have in earnest and too many people squander. Sure there's not much you have to do, but maybe there's things you oughtto do. And it's always been my philosophy to knock out the things which just need doing so that you can enjoy the better things in life. But here, so so much time for the fun things, the principle is flipped, and you have things where time must be made in order to help people. After all, the SOS-Brigade is a group dedicated to ensuring people live meaningful existences!

And how do you define meaningful existences? Maybe there is no real meaning but that which we assign to our own lives.

[She's mostly just philosophizing now. It's a thing she does sometimes. Especially in Luceti]

One where you're not drowning in apathy every day thinking "wow, my life could be so much more interesting but I would rather be stuck in a pit of despair or otherwise not be motivated to make something of myself." If you're failing to assign a meaning, then your life isn't proving very worthwhile, is it?

I suppose. Even worthwhile can be argued.

[But she can't imagine a world where anyone could get so bored. Perhaps it is like that for other people but for herself, there has never been time to not do anything. She has always been running. Searching.]

Though if someone is as apathetic as you say, there is little chance of them joining your brigade. Or even your festivities.

That's why you bring it to them, obviously.

Someone who is truly apathetic does not change their sentiment merely because you bring a celebration to them. At most, I think, they bear it.

Someone who is truly apathetic needs to have their life turned around. Don't be stupid and write my Brigade off as being some party throwers.

Oh I'm not. I'm sure you do good work. I merely think you're being a little naive. [And pushy, but she supposes all great leaders are]

[Naive Her eyes narrow in spite of herself]

I've been in this world for over four years. If there were a registry for how long people have been here, I'd be in the top five. What do you even know in the first place?

I don't. But people are the same everywhere, ne?

Of course they aren't.

Then why do you expect everyone to be moved from apathy? If everyone is different then there must be some who cannot move beyond it.

If you want to be contrary to that extent, then why don't you just go rot at the bar and see if anyone but your liver cares? Some counselor you are, jeez.

[She never particularly claimed to be one. Though it's possible she has a point.]
