Oh, um. Well. Th- there's the Legend of Poseidon-sama. She was a mermaid princess who could talk to the Seakings-sama, even though most of us can only talk to small fish-sama and sharks-sama.

Lots of things! Um, but usually they're worried about stuff like finding food or a mate. There's only a few that pay attention like Megalo-sama and Hoe-sama and the Seakings-sama do.
