[Have an image of Robin, sitting at her desk, her cheek propped up on her hand as she smiles faintly into the camera.]

Well then, it seems that Luffy has returned home. So be prepared to have things be quieter than normal. Maybe he will return here one day and maybe he won't.

[She hopes for the latter. He belongs on the sea. In the New World. Not here in this landlocked experiment. This prison. A second chance at life or not, they are all just puppets here and anyone who leaves, Robin feels, will be better off. Especially her captain.]

I am sure we will all miss him. [Because there is that, too. She will, and she knows her nakama will, but partings are always the hardest.] But perhaps this is for the best, ne?

[OOC: Robin will be hanging around house 6 for most of the day though eventually she will go for an hour or two for the library. Feel free to spot her either place]

[Vivi scowls a bit at that non-answer. She doesn't think being older will change anything.]

When I leave, I'm still gonna come back and visit people! Because...because they're my friends!

You won't remember any of this once you leave. Your memories will be taken away as if this place has never been.

[...what? Vivi looks stricken. That's terrible. And what's more, nobody else told her that, not even Sanji or Nami, so she'll only accept one explanation:]

You're lying!

[And she slams her journal shut.]

[That...that is unacceptable. Even for a child. Perhaps especially for a child. Even if it's a truth that won't matter much on the open sea of their home, it's a truth nontheless. So Robin will go to Vivi's door and put a hand on it but not come in]

It's the truth. Calling someone a liar just because you can't accept it is immaturity on your part. You won't remember. That is just the way it is.

[Vivi won't reply. She's hugging her knees on her bed, hiding her face, and trying to keep from crying. No matter what Robin says, it can't be true. And she'd thought Robin was nice, too, just like the rest of them. Why is she doing this?]

[She wishes Sanji were here, but he's away, and has been for several days. Or Nami, but she'd announced earlier that she was going to the mikan grove. ...well. She knows more or less where that is, and it's not too far. Nami wouldn't mind...right? Sliding open the bedroom window, she hops to the ground, heading for the mikan grove as fast as she can.]

[She hears her move across the floor and open the window. An escape then. Well, she supposes it can't be helped. In the end, the truth will come through no matter what Vivi believes. Though she supposes that denial comes from being a sheltered little princess.]

[Robin sighs and heads to her own room for the time being. But stops at the entrance to Luffy's. She opens the door and looks at all he left behind. Whether he will return or not, she can't say, and while she hopes he won't, she will still miss him]

[In the evening, there will come a timid knock on Robin's door.]

[Robin is faintly startled at the sound. There is a book open but she hasn't been reading, just staring into the dark panes of her window and thinking. Remembering. She blinks and shifts a little at the sound]

Come in.

[Vivi opens the door a crack and peeks inside. Taking a steeling breath, she opens it wider and slips into the room, her hand still on the doorknob. Her gaze is on the floor, avoiding Robin's eyes.]

I... [She pauses, takes another breath, and tries again.] I'm sorry I said you were lying. [The apology is somewhat murmured, but still clear enough to be heard.]

[She is surprised and not surprised to see Vivi. A knock that light had to be either her or Nami and in retrospect, perhaps Nami might have said something. In either case, she rests her hands on her lap and looks at Vivi, impressed by her bravery of apologizing. She spends a moment looking at her own hands then and then back up at Vivi.]

Thank you. And I am sorry for pushing so hard.

[But not for the truth. Never for that]

It's...very hard to miss someone.

[Vivi stands where she is, feeling more than a little awkward, but trying not to fidget. In response to Robin, she nods, slowly.]

Yes. It really is.

[She kind of wants to just flee the scene now, but Robin doesn't seem to be upset with her. So she'll just...hover here near the door and make her escape as soon as she can without being rude.]

[She seems uncomfortable. Well far be it from Robin to keep her]

Well, unless there's anything else, I think I will take a shower.

[It seems like a dismissal but perhaps anything will at this juncture]

Okay. Um. Goodnight!

[Grateful for that out, Vivi begins to slip out of the room.]

Pleasant dreams. [Robin turns back to her book and lets Vivi go]
