[For most of the day, Robin will be in the library. There is a sign tacked on the door reading:
Those with outstanding fines or books overdue two weeks or more will be severely penalized in three days time. It's recommended you take care of this now. ~Robin Nico. Head Librarian.
She herself will be inside the library all day, awaiting frantic returns and/or deposits before someone comes to remind her that she is going to be late for dinner again. Feel free to stop by at any time.]

...Alas, a teacher's work is never done.
On the way to the library, Spock had picked up the flowers, hoping that the small gift of his affection would appease Robin.
The Vulcan knocks on the door.... a small smile gracing his features as he reads the note.
Only his wife.]
no subject
I'm decent!
no subject
Quirking an eyebrow, the Vulcan opens the door...]
I should certainly hope so.
[Spock presents the flowers.] For you Ashaya.
no subject
[She takes the flowers]
Thank you, anata. [she presses a small kiss against his mouth.]
I'm going to go get a vase. Check in the rest of those for me? [and she gestures to the small pile of books sitting on the desk]
no subject
Of course.
[Spock sits at the desk, checking in the books...]
My apologies for being late today my dear. I presume the children kept themselves occupied?
no subject
[she hums to herself as she fills the vase up with water in the small kitchenette and as she picks up the flowers, sees the ring glinting in the light. She smiles a moment and twists it back and forth before setting the flowers in the vase and putting them on the desk where they will brighten up her day tomorrow.
As for him. She comes up behind him, slipping her arms around his neck and resting her chin on his head]
As for you, I suppose I'll allow you make it up to me later so long as you were doing something incredibly interesting.
no subject
....Robin was definitely not.]
Indeed? What is the punishment if I am not interesting enough Ashaya?
[Amusement filled his voice as he scanned the last book... and turned in her embrace, looking up at her face.]
no subject
Perhaps some discourse in the philsophy section. [she smirks at him with lowered lashes] Or maybe I'd just have you do a little gardening.
no subject
Placing a hand on her hips, he stood...
After all these years... she could still make him blush.]
Would you be amenable to a walk home Ashaya? The stars are quiet aesthetically pleasing tonight... though I must admit, not as pleasing as you.
[Spock brushed a hand against hers... a small Vulcan kiss. Something that he would never do in public. Sensitive hands and all that.]
no subject
I'd like that. Let me do a final round.
[and she does. Checking the stacks to make sure there are no miscreants making out in the corner of her library and lingering for just a moment in the philosophy section where more than just ideas had been conceived.
She returns to her patient husband and seditiously twines her fingers through his before turning out the light and heading out into the starry night.]
Twilight-chan wants to learn more about the stars. I suggested we have a night picnic so you could show her.
[he seemed to know more about stars than she'd ever read. Strange that. But that intelligence was something that drew her in]
no subject
Would this be tonight?
[Spock walked along at a sedate pace... staring at Robin as if he couldn't believe she actually existed.
But that wasn't right, was it? That was illogical, of course she existed.
Spock squeezed her hand as if to assure himself. Yes... this was his mate...no.. his wife.]
And what of our son... will he be joining us?
[Spock hoped that his teenager will not decide to rebel too drastically.]
no subject
[it was a bit late and he'd had a long day. Still--what a perfect night. She catches Spock looking at her and can't help but smile. Odd that they would have met to begin with though-- perhaps not? After all, what could be more of a draw to an academic than a library?]
He will be. [a perfect blend of 'he will be' and 'he'd better be'. She starts swinging their hands back and forth, whistling something softly and half remembered]
Tell me something thrilling, anata. What did you do today?
no subject
...well... within reason of course.
Spock makes a thoughtful sounds as he thinks about what he did today.]
Thrilling? I believe you will be disappointed to hear that nothing terribly exciting happened today. There was a round of standardized tests that needed to be done...
...much to my student's disdain.
The most thrilling thing that happened today was collecting you my dear.
[Spock allows his arm to be swung... enjoying the novelty of it. Wait.... they did this all the time, right?]
omg sorry I thought I'd already replied >>
Are standardized tests really necessary? [it's a rhetorical question because it's not as if he can change what is wrong with the system and keep his job] It's indoctrination. As if children can't learn to think for themselves.
s'ok~ ^_^
I have tried to argue with them Ashaya. But the school board continues to reiterate the need for a census.... and I remind them that the results are inaccurate and illogical at best.
But let us not talk of frustrating things... [Spock looks up at the stars...
...but there is something about them that's off for him though.]
Are you happy my love?
[Spock isn't quite sure where that question came from... but he wants to make certain everything is 'normal'.]
no subject
[it will break open one day and she hopes not to be caught in the middle of it]
no subject
He squeezes her hand gently once more.]
I will protect you Robin. I will make certain that nothing happens to either you or our children.
[Spock meant it. He would die to protect his family.]
no subject
But the burden is not on your shoulders alone, Anata. We will protect one another, ne?
[and she whistles what in phoenix would translate to: whatever may come. Though she doesn't know it.
Then she blinks and puts a hand to her face]
Where did that come from?
no subject
[Spock looked slightly worried. He had been experiencing inexplicable things the entire day....]
I enjoy your voice as well, you should sing more often.
[He's a flirt too. Go figure.]
no subject
Do you remember when we first met? [she does...faintly. Though it seems to belong in another life] Who was it that introduced us?
no subject
[Spock was about to scoff, claiming to his wife that she had a weak memory... and how could she forget such an important thing?
But... he couldn't remember, and that was disconcerting.]
I do not recall.
[He looks to her, worry on his face.]
That is not normal....
