[and then there were three. Robin will sound somber though faintly amused.]

Well, then. It seems that Zoro has gone home. Let's hope he actually gets there, ne? There are many terrible places between here and home. But...on the other hand, he might enjoy that.

[A soft barely audible sigh]

To those on the draft and those waiting for others to come home, good luck. To everyone else... [a brief silence and the sound cuts off with a faint click]

Have you considered some people don't wish to remember? People or tortured here, Twilight-chan. Just this year, one of my nakama was turned into a zombie and another was forced to kill him to protect a third. The one who killed held the guilt of that for a long time.

There are those who have had their memories stripped away, twisted, turned young, died of old age, watched the people they love suffer continuously with no end in sight.

How would you deal with that?

[ She bites her lip. ] I don't know. Is forgetting such a great thing, though? We learn from our experiences. However many weeks or months I spend here, I don't know if I want to totally erase their purpose from my mind. Although stuff like you said is pretty... huge.

It's difficult. Everyone has their own answers. Some want to remember, some to forget. Many want to leave and a few would do anything to stay. Some are even content with the way things are.

Not everything can be so easily saved. But...

[She smiles faintly]

I suppose that's why everyone has to make their own decision in the end.

[ She stares out the window. ] I guess I make my decisions based on what would help my friends the most. So I should ask them before I do something so drastic. [ Smiling wanly: ] I want to remember everypony, though.

Mm. And so you should. [Robin looks up at the stacks and volumes of books around them] But if you can't...why not chronicle them? Their lives here? So if you return and you've forgotten you can look at the book and say:

I'm Twilight Sparkle [Nico Robin]

And I've made friends here...

[she absently twists the ring on her finger]

Oh, do you think that would work? I hope it would. It would be fun to make, at least! The journal system would already give me a head start to help with my chronicling!

[ She notices the ring and glances down at it. ] Oh... is that for somepony here?

I don't see why not. I'll help you if you like. [and that way there will be someone else to keep the tabs on others.

Robin blinks and glances at the ring.]

Mmm. He's not a pony but yes. It's from him. I wouldn't be surprised if you've met him already.

I'd like that! I can make room in my schedule on the weekends, and we can meet in the library! We can even have slumber parties!

Did you have a wedding in Luceti? Who is he?

[She laughs softly]

That sounds fun. I don't think I've ever had a slumber party. I've had meat parties, though and have seen the aftermath of bath parties. [Those boys caused such a mess. It was wonderful]

We're not married yet, but perhaps you've met him. Let's see if I can describe him... [she thinks for a moment] His head resembles a pineapple.

I don't know. I think I'd remember somepony with produce for a head. What's a meet party? Do you meet a lot of ponies there? It sounds like something Pinkie would throw. Though, really, any type of party is probably something Pinkie would throw.

A meat party. [Hmm how to explain this] Unlike ponies, humans are largely omnivorous. Our captain is mostly carnivorous. [she chuckles a little]

As for my fiance, well, his name is Marco and his hair is absolutely ridiculous. [which is why he's a pineapple]

... Right, meat. [ She looks a little queasy at the idea. ] Well, if that's what's fun for you...

I haven't met him, but it sounds like Rarity would love to get her hooves on his wig. [ To this, she's amused. And a little wistful. It'd be nice to see Rarity again, too! ] Did you meet each other here?

It's fun for him at any rate. [she cocks her head] I'm not sure what you mean by wig but yes, I did meet him here... Or rather, he met me.

Oh! I just meant that Rarity designs fashion, but sometimes she designs hairdos as well. So are you two planning to get married?

Interesting. I would like to meet her some time if she arrives. [though with any luck she wouldn't] Perhaps...I'm not sure. The important part is how we feel, ne?

Of course! I'm not trying to push you into anything you're not ready for. But if you wanted to host some sort of party, I'm sure Pinkie, Rainbow, and I could figure something out for you! Knowing Pinkie Pie, it would probably involve pineapples somehow, too.

[she laughs] I'm not sure what kind of party Pinkie-chan will throw, but I'm sure we can work something out. [she rests her chin on her fists] Perhaps a party in any case, ne? To celebrate new friends and ones that have gone by...

Whatever type of party it is, I'm sure it would be a lot of fun - that's the only kind Pinkie knows how to throw! We could start making our scrapbook then, too.

Well, as I don't know when or if that particular party will happen, it's probably better to start the scrapbook sooner, ne?

Sure! We could work on it at art club. Or just whenever we have a free moment at the library. I'll ask Rapunzel for supplies.

[ She grins. ] This is a good idea! I'll go get some right now. I'll be back later, Robin!

[ She canters out of the room, mistakenly leaving the empty cider mugs behind. ]

Ah. [Well the young pony has gone. In such a hurry but that's fine. Robin sets the cider mugs aside and plucks a book from the shelf. She doesn't even know what it's about. Something esoteric it seems. Well she'll quickly find out],

[ Some time later (after hassling of Rapunzel, Pinkie Pie, and a couple of local stores), Twilight returns, levitating a lot of crafts, markers, pens, paper, and a big empty book behind her. ]

We can start by making up a list, and then immortalizing our memories with them!
