Log 007 [video/Action]
[The video appears on Robin, looking up at her as she is sitting on her windowsill, despite the chill in the air. The wind stirs in her hair before she speaks]
Living here is hard on everyone it seems. People are changed. People flow in, go home, die and are restored. The Malnosso have us forget one another, betray one another, even forget ourselves and yet we live on broken in our own way.
[She glances down at the journal]
But we are all united here. Wether or not we wish to go home or we call this our home. Whether we love or hate it. We all exist for the same reason. For our friends. To find something better. But whether dark or light, living in silence or in grief only divides us. [She remembers broken nakama too much. It is almost too hard to bear sometimes because there is no reason to be]
There should be a place to talk about this. The fears, the joys, the grief...who we miss. Who we are glad have gone. A place without judgement or worrying whether or not you will cause concern. In order to live. In order to survive we must understand one another and we must not be afraid of the truth--whatever that might be.
[She will stare at the journal more as if contemplating what to say, then kills the feed. Then she leaves the window to make her rounds about town and will ultimately end up in the library. She may seem a bit preoccupied but feel free to approach her, and never mind the cat tail, that will be gone soon enough]

He's currently inside, shifting through books. Gotta find something that explains more about these journals before he starts trying to disassemble it.

By the way, if she looks, this kid's right arm up to the elbow is mechanical.]Oh, I just want to know how it works. I was told that it's magical but when I did more digging I found out it's a combination of science and magic.
[He looks back to her with a grin.]
So I thought 'why not pull it apart and see how it's done.'

You can take it apart anyway, you know. Even if you don't know how to reassemble it, it will return as it was.

These are some accounts of those who have been in Luceti before. [Arms blossom from the top shelf and ferry several volumes down to you]
I don't imagine if any of them are engineers as such but a few of them are quite ingenious in discussing the working of Luceti in general.

No, they're great! I may not be solid in history but I guess it wouldn't hurt to read about what people's thoughts are on this place.

It's not that I don't try and understand...I just have a hard time with it.

What do you have a hard time understanding? [A legitimate question. She knows that people find history dull or irrelevant or even hard as he says but she's never understood why]

Hmmm...dunno. I get what happened during stuff in history like during the Cold War where Soviet Union was threatening to nuke North America. But, my teachers keep saying I'm missing other facts. I'm not sure what I'm missing though.
[Black and White views of the world usually screw with knowing all the other details.]

Anyways, he'll try and get off that topic. Thankfully she gave him one, but he's going to try and hide some of his jealousy on this topic.]
He can do magic. Like creating swords out of mid air and being able to control fire, wind, earth and water. He's still learning though, but he's really awesome at it.

[She adds a few books on magical theory to his pile and then clandestinely, one on the Cold War. She doesn't know what it is or even if it's the right one but perhaps it will expand his horizons]

[He won't say anything about how he and Crown crime fight though...if only because he hasn't gotten it through his head that no one at home will find out.
Now he's just putting the books on a table nearby, because he won't be able to carry the tower that is currently growing.]

I like to tinker with things. Make them better and make it so they can do things they weren't able to do before. I can also build some stuff too. I also do martial arts and acrobatics when I have time.

[But when she asks about his arm, a wide grin comes on his face.]
Yup. Look.
[He'll grab the cuff of his wrist and twist it. When it's at 180 degrees long knife like claws extend out of the finger tips. When he does a full 360, the retract and a small opening opens up on the palm and reveals a grappling hook stored inside.]

In my experience good guys and bad guys are difficult to define and even the good do evil deeds just as the bad can do good. How do you distinguish? And how do you know if you have made someone happy or merely resolved their personal dilemma?

Well, the only bad things I do is doing vigilantism, but I'm not hurting anybody by it. All I want to do is help the bad guys get better, so they can be good people too.
